What we collect on this site, why, who sees it, and how you can change your mind.

Who is responsible
Netfluence is a web development studio in Montréal, Québec. We follow Québec’s Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector, including the changes made by Law 25.
The person in charge of the protection of personal information at Netfluence is a co-founder of the company. Contact them with any question or request about your information: info@netfluence.ca, 514-792-7781.
What we collect
- When you send our contact form: your name, email, subject and message, plus your phone number, company and budget if you choose to give them.
- When you email or call us: your contact details and what you tell us.
- If you become a client: the contact and billing details we need to do the work and invoice you.
- When you visit: our web host, Netlify, handles technical data such as your IP address and browser type to deliver the pages. Google receives your IP address when your browser loads the site’s fonts.
- If you accept analytics: the information described under Analytics and cookies.
Please don’t send us sensitive information, such as health or banking details, through the form.
Why we use it
- To answer you and prepare a quote.
- To carry out and invoice the work you hire us for.
- To keep the site running and secure.
- If you accept analytics, to understand how people use the site and improve it.
We don’t use your information for anything else without asking you first, and we don’t sell it.
Analytics and cookies
Microsoft Clarity and Google Analytics stay off until you choose Accept in the banner. If you refuse, they don’t load.
If you accept, these tools record the pages you visit, your clicks and scrolling, your device and browser, and your approximate location. Clarity also creates recordings of your visit that we can replay. What you type in our contact form is hidden from Clarity.
They use cookies and similar technologies that can identify your device, locate it approximately and build a profile of how you use the site. They include _clck, _clsk and CLID for Clarity, which last up to about a year, and _ga and _ga_ for Google Analytics, which last up to two years. We also save your choice in your browser so we don’t ask on every page.
You can change your mind at any time. If you refuse after accepting, we stop the tools and delete the cookies on our site. Cookies that Microsoft sets from its own domains, such as CLID, can’t be deleted by us; you can clear them in your browser settings.
Read more in the privacy policies of Microsoft and Google.
Who can see it
The two of us, and the companies that provide services to us:
- Netlify, for hosting the site and storing contact form messages.
- Google, for the site’s fonts, and for Google Analytics if you accept.
- Microsoft, for Clarity if you accept.
- The email and accounting providers we use to run the business.
These companies can store information outside Québec, including in the United States, where different privacy rules apply. We also share information when the law requires it.
How long we keep it
- Messages that don’t lead to a project: up to two years.
- Client records: for the project, then as long as tax law requires, generally six years.
- Clarity recordings: up to 30 days, as set by Microsoft.
- Google Analytics data: up to 14 months.
After that, we delete your information or make it anonymous.
Your rights
Under Québec law, you can ask us to:
- Tell you what information we hold about you and give you a copy, including in a commonly used format.
- Correct information that is wrong or incomplete.
- Withdraw a consent you gave.
- Delete information we no longer need.
- Stop sharing your information or remove a link to it, where the law allows.
Write to us at info@netfluence.ca. We answer within 30 days. If you’re not satisfied, you can file a complaint with the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec.
Keeping it safe
Only the two of us have access to your information, and the site uses encrypted connections. No system is perfectly secure. If an incident could seriously harm you, we’ll tell you and the Commission d’accès à l’information.
Children
This site is for businesses. We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 14.
Changes to this policy
When this policy changes, we update this page and the date at the top. If a change affects how we use your information, we’ll ask for your consent again where the law requires it.
